The species of the family Throscidae (Coleoptera: Elateroidea) Czech and Slovak Republics

A rewiew of the family Throscidae Castelnau, 1840, based on new record and literature data, is made.
Before the 2007´s only eight species of the family Throscidae were known from the territory of Czech and Slovak Republics: Aulonothroscus brevicollis (Bonvouloir, 1859), Trixagus carinifrons (Bonvouloir, 1859), T. dermestoides (Linnaeus, 1767), T. duvalii (Bonvouloir, 1859), T. elateroides (Heer, 1841), T. leseigneuri Muona, 2002, T. meybohmi Leseigneur, 2005 and T. obtusus (Curtis, 1827). Three species are recorded from Czech Republic for the first time: T. atticus Reitter, 1921, T. exul (Bonvouloir, 1859) and T. gracilis Wollaston 1857. Three species are recorded from Slovak Republic for the first time: T. atticus Reitter, 1921, T. gracilis Wollaston, 1857 and T. leseigneuri Muona, 2002.
